Prof Dr Jan Drengner is Professor of Service Management and Marketing, in particular Events, at the Department of Tourism/Transport at Worms University of Applied Sciences. In addition to his teaching activities, his research focuses on brand communication (in particular event marketing and sponsoring), event management and consumer behaviour research, on which he has published more than 50 scientific papers. As co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Digital Experience Design (IZed) at Worms University of Applied Sciences, he is also involved in the development of mobile apps for destinations, using experience-oriented concepts such as gamification, storytelling, virtual reality and augmented reality. In addition to his research and teaching activities, Prof Drengner is Sustainability Officer at his university.
