Daniel Drepper

Daniel Drepper heads the research cooperation between NDR, WDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung and is chairman of Netzwerk Recherche, the association of investigative journalists in Germany. As a reporter, Drepper worked for the research department of the Funke media group from 2010, co-founded the non-profit research centre Correctiv in 2014 and was editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed News Deutschland (later: Ippen Investigativ) for five years from 2017. Drepper studied journalism in Dortmund and completed a master's degree in investigative research at Columbia Journalism School. Drepper has been honoured for his work as Journalist of the Year, Editor-in-Chief of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, and has won the Guardian Prize, the Reporter Prize and the Nannen Prize. He is particularly interested in exploitation in the world of work, abuse of power and environmental crimes.
