Avin Khodakarim was born in Munich to Iranian parents. In addition to studying politics, she works as a freelance journalist for various radio and web media. On her Instagram account @avin.kho, she addresses socio-political topics such as anti-racism, feminism and current politics. Since September 2022, she has mainly covered the revolution in Iran on Instagram and in her journalistic work. As a member of Ayande, the youth initiative of the Iranian community, she also volunteers to make post-migrant perspectives more visible in society.
