Angela Peltner

Angela Maria Peltner was born in Magdeburg in the 80s. She moved to Berlin in 2002 to become a musician. To reassure her parents, she once studied German and history. She has ventured into many bands and new beginnings in music. Her current band, Cläng, will be releasing new music in 2024.

In her career as a musician, Angela won the nationwide local heroes prize for young talent (2001). This was followed by many hundreds of gigs and winning Udo Lindenberg's Panic Prize in 2009. She has performed twice with her respective formation at Stefan Raab's BuViSoCo. She has opened for Udo Lindenberg, Nena, Pur and Glasperlenspiel. Various TV appearances, a music promotion initiative and a crowdfunding campaign via Startnext later, Angela briefly lost her mojo and love of music. But after a short "conscious trip" to "The Voice of Germany 2023" for research purposes for her first novel, "Songs for Greta", which is about a casting show, she found her love for music again. Now, for the first time, she dares to write about topics that concern her age, namely: 40!

Angela is also the host of the music podcast "Grenzsaiten". Together with Ole Löding, they discuss pop music in the podcast. She is also a freelance writer for various magazines, including "SisterMag" and "Greenwindow", as well as "Heldentat-Magazin" - about volunteers in the music industry" Angela generally writes books and also works in screenplay development. She has been a jury member for Local Heroes for decades. Most recently at the national final in 2023. Angela has been a marketing manager and author at recordJet, the music distribution company, for many years. She has already worked with the LKA and PoptoGo to better integrate music in schools and encourage pupils to express themselves through music. She also sometimes hosts events, most recently the Musikfest Spätival.
