Andrea Rothaug is Managing Director of RockCity Hamburg e.V. - Centre for Popular Music and a lobbyist for change processes in music. She is the initiator and co-founder of various music institutions, such as Clubkombinat Hamburg e.V., Hamburg Music e.V., POP Office Bremen, Music Women* Germany, Bundesverband Popularmusik, the first local music shop Hanseplatte - Musik von hier, the Hamburg Music Awards KRACH+GETÖSE, founder of the musicHHwomen network and the Music Future Convention OPERATION TON, among others. As a strategy and project developer, former commissioner for music and pop culture Bremen 2021 - 2022, curator, mentor (e.g. Deutscher Kulturrat/Rudolf German Cultural Council/Rudolf Augstein Foundation), copywriter, owner of the Institute for Professional Reality and book author, she is also a guest lecturer at various universities and advises cultural policy and the music industry as a certified artist & business coach.
