This session explains the basic techniques of promotion and marketing. It will focus on the importance of media, the basics of successful PR and promotion opportunities in the digital age. Furthermore, an overview of the various possibilities of social media marketing will be given and the topic of playlist pitching will be discussed. The aim is for participants to develop cover letters and PR texts independently and self-reflectively in a workshop and to have a basic knowledge of the mechanisms of the industry with regard to the promotion of a title.
