Ruben Jonas Schnell, born in Hanover in 1968, has lived in Hamburg since 1994. The music journalist with a master's degree in musicology and American studies has worked as a freelance editor and presenter for public radio since the early 90s. He is the initiator, managing director and editorial director of ByteFM. The music journalistic programme does not broadcast commercials and is financed by the Friends of ByteFM association with over 8,000 members.
