„I heard it on the radio…”
- GVL as a partner of the creative industry
April 28, 12:15–13:15
As an artist, you have a lot of people and organizations that support you in being creative. One of them is the GVL, the collecting society for artists and labels. We take care of the so-called secondary exploitation rights of over 170,000 performing artists and producers: If your music is regularly played on the radio or in public, for example, we make sure that you get paid for it.
Sandy Backhaus and Dirk Löwenberg will explain in more detail at the c/o pop convention what the GVL is all about and why it is such an indispensable part of the music landscape. We may not be able to show you on a beer mat how the GVL money works, but we can in our 60-minute session.
