Art, Cash & Security: basic income and the future of artistic work

Art, Cash & Security: basic income and the future of artistic work

Panel

April 16, 16:30–17:30

Herbrand's - Stage 10

This program item takes place as part of the  PRO MUSIK conference.

Precarious incomes and a lack of social security are part of everyday life for many musicians. But there is another way. PRO MUSIK wants to talk to you about basic income for artists and better security in old age and in the event of unemployment. In this panel, we will take a look at European models of social security and ask: What works – and what can we learn from them?
Together with guests from different countries, we will discuss how musicians can be better protected without losing their artistic freedom. The aim is to share knowledge, encourage and open up new perspectives for a sustainable future for the music profession. We want to identify models that can also work in Germany.

Ths panel is in English.
