Concerts and festivals can be much more than just music – they can be places for young people to try themselves out and to implement their own ideas. In the end, these ideas might benefit society as a whole. To help organizers realize their events’ potential as platforms of social innovation, experts on festivals and youth work like Roskilde Festival and Take a Stand have joined forces in the project “FUSION – Festivals as Social Innovation Incubators”. In this interactive session, they will present the tools they have developed for the first time ever: an inspirational best-practice guide, a how-to toolbox for creating projects at festivals, and a handbook on the potential of events and festivals for social innovation, created by four international working groups.
