An entire generation of aspiring musicians has been directly affected by the pandemic. The virtual standstill in the performance industry brought with it difficult networking opportunities and a lack of performance opportunities. This led to a stagnation of many careers. At this point, the Pop Stipendium offers quick and uncomplicated financial support. Launched by BV Pop and financed by the Neustart Kultur programme, the programme supported 1125 young artists in important career steps between April 2022 and April 2023. At the first panel of the Pop Summit, the scientific evaluation and the results of the programme will be presented, classified and discussed at first hand. In addition, the question of the future of this goal-oriented support will be raised.
