The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is anchoring basic fees for musicians in funded projects in its cultural code. While musicians discuss the amount of a lower limit, the question arises for whom the figures apply and whether they will also have a signal effect on the independent scene. Organizers and small acts in particular are afraid that they will no longer be able to pay their musicians in the future. Nevertheless, the appropriate remuneration of musicians must have an important status. In addition to the perspective of the musicians, the perspective of the promoters and clients will also be examined in order to find solutions together. At the same time, the question arises: if everyone is fairly remunerated, doesn't it need a larger funding volume?
