We often talk about the consequences of climate change, but rarely about how we can actually solve the problem. Yet everything can be broken down very simply: How much CO2 do we emit, how much are we allowed to emit, what must be done so that we reach this amount. Why it is not that simple, why we have to be careful that we are not fooled, and what the solution really has to look like is what this lecture is about.
