20th c/o pop anniversary show with Crucchi Gang!
The idea was born in Berlin, sometime after attending a Bob Dylan concert, while Charlotte Goltermann, Sven Regener and Francesco Wilking were drinking beer together: German-speaking musicians sing their own songs in Italian and it becomes a record!
The second is called "Fellini" and will be released on 26 May 2023. It is actually a seamless continuation of the first, because Wilking and Reising also liked the little escapes from everyday life - and decided to continue without much of a break.
Once again, the German pop celebrities came to the studio in Berlin's Milastrasse. JEREMIAS, for example, whose "ich mags" is an incredibly casual piece of music anyway. "A vibe song," says Francesco Wilking: "The feeling is sleazy disco; feverish and cool and very much in the moment. It's something I can really relate to!" As part of the Crucchi Gang, the Hanoverians push their sound discreetly in the direction of hedonist disco: the horns are snappy, the background vocals sweet, the bass slapping, in short: as "Mi piace", the number sounds like it's wearing a white suit. Tocotronic, whose "Im Zweifel für den Zweifel" (In Doubt for Doubt) as "In dubbio per il dubbio" (In Dubbio for Dubbio) exudes interesting Morricone moods, and Lina Maly, who develops "Als du gingst" (When You Went) into a softly sprung nightclub ballad, also recommended themselves as new gang members. Furthermore, we hear Dota, Tristan Brusch, Antje Schomaker, Maike Rosa Vogel and Wilking's own band Die höchste Eisenbahn. Two things stand out: First of all, "Fellini" has a tremendously cohesive overall sound, is a real artist's album at its core. In addition, with its many vocalists, it demonstrates a wonderfully natural gender parity.
