EUROPAREISE

Once again, the international festival network Europareise formed the backbone of the c/o pop festival. Representatives of over 70 festivals and institutions from more than 25 countries met in Cologne for the fifth time to make and cultivate contacts, exchange insights and experience and discover new bands. The network functions as a link between the c/o pop festival and the new C’n’B – Creative Business Convention, at which the festival organisers will be able to engage in dialogue and exchange with creative figures from other sectors. To this end, topics of particular relevance to Europareise, including »Energy and Sustainability« and »Mapping in urban space« are on the programme of this year’s C’n’B.

The Europareise matchmaking module, which had its first, hugely successful outing last year, continued within the framework of the Convention. Europareise continued to grow and thrive, as illustrated not least by the fact that more new festivals from various countries have joined the network this year. Partnerships with North and South America and South and Southeast Asia are also continuing to gain in importance.

Internationalpark/ Europareise is supported by the Initiative Musik Non-profi t Project
Company Ltd. with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture
and Media on the basis of a resolution passed by the German Bundestag.
