That is to say, DJ Acid S and Eddy-C are responsible for the sounds and beats, and singer Inky Timez beguiles with an incredible hypnotizing voice. Together they write songs that nestle into an unclaimed niche somewhere between Portishead and Hundreds.
Some have drawn a comparison to Massive Attack, but they would describe their own sound as streetpop. And indeed, the three Kölners charmingly play with elements from pop ballads and House music, always with a dash of escapism. No surprise that their first EP bears the title „A Night to Escape.“
